Meet our fantastic jury members and learn more about them and the ten films which are taking part in the first Dokumentale competition.
Jury and Competition Films
The competition films for the first edition of the Dokumentale have been selected! A total of ten films—nine of which are having their German premieres and one its international premiere—have been nominated for the main prize of 20,000 euros.
The international jury, consisting of renowned members Marie Erbs Ørbæk (CPH:DOX), Mara Prohaska Marković (BELDOCS), and director Ibrahim Nash'at (HOLLYWOODGATE), will present the award to the winner on 17 October at Silent Green.
The prize is divided into two parts: 10,000 euros will go directly to the film-maker(s), while the remaining 10,000 euros will be allocated for marketing efforts to support the film's release in Germany. With this approach, the Dokumentale aims to promote the distribution of documentary films and ensure their long-term success.
