Uncropped

13.10.24, 20:30 @ Lark

D.W. Young's film “Uncropped” tells the story of photojournalist James Hamilton, who spent over four decades working as a photojournalist in New York for various newspapers. His photography is known worldwide and he photographed several celebrities from Patti Smith to Muhammad Ali and also captured photographs of war and unrest during the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s. Through the lens of his camera, we travel not only back in time to New York’s past but also to Hamilton’s exciting everyday life in the photography and art scene. We invite you to experience this exciting chronicle of his work together at Lark, a Berlin music venue and club by the Spree showcasing up and coming artists from the local and international scene. After the screening, join us for a Q&A session with Hamilton himself and the director of the film. Stay for a double DJ set and keep the evening going!
