The Good Media Pitch

Oct 15, 2024, 9.00 AM @ Festival Center D'24

Event language: English

The Good Media Lab and Pitch is a new initiative that uniquely brings documentary film-makers together with non-profit organizations, foundations, civil society organisations, research institutes, policymakers, brands, and media representatives to address today’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. It’s more than just collaboration—it’s a dynamic platform for the creation of powerful, purpose-driven partnerships that have the potential to bring about real change.

Six projects have been selected by an international jury. Over the course of a six-month journey, their makers have been provided with the skills to develop their impact campaigns and have been guided through the development of a pitch. The programme will culminate in The Good Media Pitch, where the selected projects will present their campaigns to an interdisciplinary audience of top-tier partners and funders, sparking opportunities for lasting impact.

This is Germany’s very first film and impact programme, and we are thrilled to be presenting you with the first six projects that have participated in it.

A bit of background information for you: back in 2007, the Doc Society (formerly BRITDOC) came up with the idea of the Good Pitch programme in partnership with the Sundance Institute and the Ford Foundation. To date, there have been fifty-four events (both in person and virtual) held across fifteen countries. The Good Media Pitch has been organized by The Good Media Network and is very much inspired by Doc Society’s Good Pitch.

We would like to extend our special thanks to our partners and supporters:
Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg, AG Dok, The Storyboard Collective as well as GIPA and DocSociety.
