The town of Saint Denis from the video game Red Dead Redemption 2 becomes a stage on which the inequalities of the early twentieth century play out, revealing the huge chasms created by the capitalist system that separate rich and poor. On one side of the city, women and men toil in factories and live in squalor. Meanwhile, on the other side, people from the upper classes sit in their gardens and read the newspaper. A well-known, entertaining game becomes a critique of the system.
