In a dialogue between past and present, this film tells the story of Iris Berben’s career, which has lasted more than five decades, spanning film, television, and political engagement. Iris Berben returns to important places and meets with inspiring companions along the way, including Jim Rakete, who has photographed her repeatedly over the past forty years, and Barbara Sukowa, who, like Berben, began her acting career in Munich. Also featured are Anke Engelke and Ruben Östlund, who led her to a late triumph in ’Triangle of Sadness’.
