In "Queendom", the young Russian activist Gena fights against Russia’s anti-queer laws with radical performances. In the streets of Moscow, she performs in other-worldly outfits made from recycled materials. Through her artistic interventions in public, she merges art and activism. Her aim is to draw attention to the situation of queer people in Russia. In a climate that is becoming ever harsher politically, she risks her own safety on a daily basis.
