On September 8, 2019 Sarajevo hosted its first Pride March. Today Pride marches are an unmissable event in all the main European cities, even though in many countries the official recognition of equal rights to the LGBTQI+ community is still far from being secured. In Bosnia Herzegovina, a complex country striving to reach an inclusive approach towards this community and still torn by the leavings left by the war, this event marked a turning point in the general perception of the LGBTQI+ community in the
country and of its legitimacy to exist.
